Ireland vs Wales Under 21s - how to watch and when is it on?

NOW THAT the madness of the Ireland team's 3-2 loss against Serbia has died down, we look to the future.

Our promising Under 21s are taking on Wales in a friendly on Friday, and here's everything you need to know about the game.

When is it? Friday 26 March at 1pm.

Where is it on? Colliers Park in Wrexham.

Is it important? Not really. It is just a friendly. But it will give us a good indication of how the youths are shaping up, which is all the more important given Stephen Kenny is the senior side's manager, and he loves promoting young players.

What is our squad looking like? It's good! There is some serious talent in the squad, with  Jonathan Afolabi, Shane Flynn and Conor Noss among the standouts.

However, we are not without our issues either. Talented youngster Ademipo Odubeko pulled out of the squad, while Schalke 04’s Dan Rose misses out due to regional Covid-19 travel restrictions in Germany.

Midfielder Conor Coventry also misses the game as he was called up to the senior side, though he was not used in the defeat to Serbia.

How can I watch it? The game is being livestreamed on the Welsh FA's official YouTube page here.
