Katie Taylor defends herself as she dubs her critics "absolutely clueless"

THE Irish boxer has been criticised recently despite her win against Jessica McCaskill.

Katie Taylor has taken to social media to defend herself as BBC sports pundits Mike Costello and Steve Bunce critiqued her performance when opposing McCaskill.

The two men said the boxer didn't have a "boxing brain" and the fight was easy, however, Katie's lack of a boxing brain left her performance lacking lustre.

When the Irish Boxing Twitter account asked their audience for their opinion on the recording, Katie gave her two cents - and didn't hold back.

Replying to the question "do they have point?" Katie defended herself, saying: "No they don't. I would've thought that people making those comments would have some knowledge. The reason I won the fight well is cos I used my boxing brain and outsmarted my opponent. If people who particularly are involved in boxing can't see that, they are absolutely clueless."
