MUNSTER AND TOULOUSE WILL lock horns this weekend in the Champions Cup on Sunday

The two sides will meet for the first time since the dramatic spot-kick shootout in the quarter-finals of last years competition.

Toulouse won 4-2 that day and went to play Leinster in the next round.  They were eventually knocked out by Leo Cullen's men.

The game in Thomond Park this Sunday (3.15pm) will be another mouthwatering encounter.

Toulouse lie top of the Top14 table, while Munster's season in the United Rugby Championship has been up and down,

However Munster can never be counted out in European rugby,

What happened last time the sides met ?

Munster were knocked out last years competiton by Toulouse via a place kicking contest in the quarter-finals.

Both sides were tied at 24-24 apiece heading into the eightieth minute.

Extra-time couldn't seperate the sides and the spot kicks came.

Toulouse were immaculate from the boot, slotting all of their four attempts. Munster on the other hand missed three, one from Conor Murray and two sailed wide from Healy

Graham Rowntree: "I don't think we will fall back into our old ways. I think we learned a lot trying to get a new style going on the field, a new way of training; we’ve learned a lot, I don’t think we’ll fall back

Tadgh Bierne: “I’m guessing we’re not favourites, but we’ll certainly relish it, especially at home in Thomond.

“Especially at a club like Munster, there’s a special feeling around Europe in this club. Whether we mean to or not, the mood lifts when it comes into European Cup weeks. It’s no different this week.
