WATERFORD NATIVE Seamus Power managed to achieve back-to-back holes-in-one ahead of The Masters tournament this weekend.
Power, who was competing in a par-three contest on Wednesday, hit his first ace on the eighth hole and managed the same trick moments later on the new Augusta-designed course.
The Irishman, who is ranked 34th in golf's world rankings, became only the third player to achieve the feat. He joins the likes of Claude Harmon (1968) and Toshi Izawa (2002) in the special club.
Power's total holes-in-one in his career now stand at 16.
"It's a dream come true," said the golf star.
"Obviously, to get one was special, but to get the second one was a bit surreal.
"It was an absolute blast out there. Being able to share it with my brother out there, that was probably the best part. I don't know whether it carries into tomorrow, but it's certainly a lifelong memory that I'll treasure for a long time."

Fans watching at home were delighted with Power's amazing achievement. One user on social media said: "Congratulations Seamus. Brilliant to have 1 but to have 2 in a row, wow stuff of dreams. Best of luck for tomorrow and for the rest of the week from Kilkenny and Ireland."
While another said: "This is unbelievable lol, other than Kim Jong Un, has this ever happened in the history of Golf?"
Last year, Power came 27th in his first-ever Masters tournament and will be hoping he can maintain his newfound luck when the event starts today.
He has been paired with Bubba Watson of the US and Matteo Fernandez of Argentina today.
