The game is set in a timeline between the Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade and will begin in Connecticut at the university where Dr Indiana Jones is a professor.
The story will take him to all areas of the globe, including the Vatican in Italy, the Pyramids of Egypt and even the Himalayas. Players will play primarily from the first person perspective to solve puzzles and avoid traps, you can also enter third person to gain a new perspective when needed.
Also, some great news for Xbox gamers is that this game will be included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Star Wars Outlaws
Another upcoming action and adventure game also under licence with LucasFilm Games is Star Wars Outlaws, which will fall in as part of the Star Wars Universe. Outlaws will be set on the timeline between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi films.
At the centre of the game will be the outlaw character Kay Vess and Nix, their companion, who are on a mission to pull off one of the biggest heists the outer rim will have ever seen. Players will visit a number of planets including Tatooine and Akiva as well as the never-seen-before moon Toshara, which is inspired by the real life Tanzania landscape.
This is a single player game played in the third person perspective, it is set in an open world environment and features stealth missions as well as open combat. Once released, it will be available across PlayStation, Xbox and Windows platforms.
Avowed
Coming in the latter half of the year will be the role playing action game Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios. Avowed is set in the fictional universe known as Eora, which will already be familiar to players of the Pillars of Eternity franchise.
The player is set on a mission from a far away land to find out more about an apparent plague spreading through the Living Lands and will come across an ancient secret with disastrous consequences.
You will have access to magic and melee weapons as well as firearms in order to defeat deadly enemies along the way. This is not an open world game, however it does feature a number of open zones that can be explored.
Available on both Windows and Xbox platforms, the game will be open to Xbox Game Pass subscribers upon its release.
