Ticket information for Katie Taylor's fight with Chantelle Cameron has been announced and some fans are not happy

Ahead of her 3Arena homecoming on May 20th, the ticket information for Katie Taylor's fight with Chantelle Cameron has been announced.

The tickets will be available in seven price bands ranging from €80 to €1,500 for VIP Ringside seats.

The '3Arena pre-sale' will start at 10am on Monday, April 3, followed by the 'Matchroom fight pass' sale at 10am on Tuesday, April 4

General sale tickets for the venue, which can accommodate nearly 10,000 boxing fans, will be available at 10am on Wednesday, April 5

Taylor was originally set to fight Amanda Serrano, but the Puerto Rican dropped out due to injury.

It had been hoped that Taylor would get her fight in Croke Park, but a dispute over costs between Eddie Hearn and the GAA put that idea to bed.

She will now fight in the Dublin Docklands venue.

"I would have absolutely loved to fight at Croke Park in front of 80,000 people but I'm just delighted that pro boxing is coming home [to Ireland]," explained Taylor last week.

"The venue controversy has maybe taken away from the fact that this is another huge milestone for women's boxing, which has made remarkable progress in a very short time.

I'm really focused on the job. Hopefully there may be a chance to fight in Croke Park in the future - it would be amazing if that happens - but we'll take one fight at a time.

This will be the biggest fight of my career and I would have felt a sense of unfinished business if it did not happen. This had to happen before I hung up the gloves."

After the ticket news was confirmed today, fans of the Bray native reacted negatively to the prices for the tickets.

One fan on social media said, "Cheapest tickets are £70? That's a bit off, isn't it? Come on @EddieHearn@MatchroomBoxing, times are hard as it is. Cheapest tickets should be around the £40 mark for any fight."

While another said, "Sorry to everyone deluded enough to think boxing is a working class sport."
