Three Dingle hotels named among the best in Europe

THREE HOTELS in Dingle, County Kerry have been named among the best in Europe.

International travel website Tripadvisor have announced the winners of their Travellers' Choice Awards 'Best of the Best Hotels', and Ireland-- unsurprisingly to anyone lucky enough to have visited our shores-- has been winning big.

County Kerry in particular shone in the Travellers' Choice Awards, with four Kerry hotels in total being named among the best in the world, including the Killarney Park Hotel being named the best hotel in Ireland.

And three hotels in Dingle, County Kerry, once home to the famous Fungi the Dolphin, and boasting some of the most spectacular landscapes in the country, have been named among the best in Europe.

Heaton's Guesthouse and Castlewood House have been named the sixth and seventh best-rated Small hotels in Europe, and 20th and 21st in the world-- and Greenmount House placed 10th in Europe.

Greenmount House was named Ireland's best 'Romance hotel', with the Tripadvisor awards basing the decision on the majority of reviews from couples, and Heaton's Guesthouse was named the best small hotel in Ireland, competing against other hotels with 30 rooms or less.

Speaking as the results were announced, Tripadvisor spokesperson Hayley Coleman said:

"Now that travel throughout Ireland is back on and the nation eagerly awaits the freedom to travel abroad again, Irish holidaymakers will want to start getting plans in motion for what could possibly be the most longed for trip of their life.

"This celebration of the best of the best hotels around the world should serve as the perfect guide for discovering places to stay that are fit for the holiday of a lifetime."
