SISK is one of eight construction firms to have secured places on a new regional framework which will channel major civil engineering projects across Yorkshire and the Humber.
The Irish firm has been announced among the contractors awarded places on the £1bn YORcivil Major Works 2 framework - which is being managed jointly by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council and aims to keep a strong pipeline of work flowing through local supply chains.

Live as of this month, the initiative will run for four years with an option to extend for a further two.
It will cover large projects worth more than £10m, including highways, bridges and structural works, drainage, urban realm schemes, flood‑alleviation and coastal protection, and replaces the existing YORcivil Major Works arrangement, which is due to expire in December 2025.
“Our Sisk Infrastructure business unit has won a place on the £1bn YORcivil Major Works 2 framework covering major infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the Humber region,” the Irish firm said in a statement this week.
Alan Rodger, Managing Director at Sisk Infrastructure, said they are “delighted to confirm that we have won a place on the YORcivil Majors Works 2 framework and continue our relationship”.
He added: “This builds upon our presence in Yorkshire following on from the re-alignment of the A59 at Kex Gill, Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme (LPTIP) City Centre Gateways, Fargate in Sheffield city centre and ongoing major infrastructure work at York Central.
“We look forward to working with YORcivil and our long-term local supply chain partners going forward.”
