Watch: Russell Crowe attempts an Irish accent in A New York Winter's Tale

RUSSELL Crowe may be set to take the mantel from Tom Cruise for worst Irish accent ever.

Crowe attempts what appears to be a Dublin accents in new romantic-drama, A New York Winter's Tale, which also star Colin Farrell.

The film is set in two different eras 100 years apart, beginning in the 19th century where it follows , an Irish burglar who breaks into a mansion house upon which he encounters a dying heiress (Jessica Brown Findlay) with whom he falls deeply in love with.

However, Farrell is on the run from his old boss Pearly Soames, played by Russell Crowe, a violent criminal ganglord. When Crowe tracks Farrell's character down, the film is transported into present day.
