CELTIC FEET,
Albany Theatre
December 21

THE fantastic Celtic Feet show returned to Coventry last month and, as ever, delivered a mesmerising performance at the newly furnished Albany Theatre.

Featuring a cast that included the fantastic Ciara Sexton and others from the Turley School of Irish Dance, as well as four-time world champion Declan McHale of the Doherty Academy, this was a night to savour for Irish dance fans.

The audience leapt to their feet to reward the new production with a standing ovation.

Former Young Tap Dancer of the Year Mark Chichester also performed, as did former World Irish Dance champions Emma King and Stephanie Thompson.

McHale exuded confidence in front of the audience and the chemistry between  Sexton and Mark Chichester as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers was plain for all to see.

Celtic Feet wrapped up a tremendous year for Sexton, who had been touring as Principle Dancer with Heartbeat of Home – a new show from the producers and directors of Riverdance.

When asked what it was like to perform in her hometown on the night, Ciara Sexton said: "You always feel the pressure before the show, but it is different when you have so many familiar faces in the audience.  When you step onto that stage there is no feeling like it.”
