AN OFFALY man's random act of kindness in paying a stranger's parking ticket to prevent the car being clamped will be rewarded with a pint.
Paraic Sullivan, who plays for the county's Gaelic football team, was parking his car outside the Criminal Courts of Justice near Phoenix Park in Dublin when he noticed the car parked in front of him was about to be clamped.
Mr Sullivan rushed to pay for a parking ticket, to avoid the clamping, and decided to leave a note for the mystery stranger, Joe.ie reports.
The note read:
Hi there,
I was parked behind you and you were just about to get clamped. I stopped them and bought you a ticket so they wouldn't clamp you. Maybe some day you might do the same. Or you can buy me a pint.
My name is Paraic.
He also left a phone number so that the man or woman who owned the car could get in touch with him.
Lucky for Paraic, it turned out to be a woman - who sent him a text later that evening expressing her gratitude and suggested they meet up so that she can repay his act of kindness.
