Body found in large scale search launched in Co. Kerry

A SEARCH was launched to find a missing poet.

A man by the name of Matt Hodd has been missing since Friday from Killarney in County Kerry.

A large-scale search was launched in Killarney and surrounding areas in a bid to find the 42-year-old man who was last seen near the Flesk River.

According to RTÉ, authorities such as Kerry Mountain Rescue, Killarney Water Rescue and the Civil Defence along with concerned locals turned out in huge numbers to find the ecologist and poet.

The body of the man was found on Saturday evening.

The deceased was found in the Whitebridge area and foul play linked to his death is not being suspected by local Gardaí.
