A TWENTY-five-year-old man has died after being fatally stabbed in Dublin last night.
The incident occurred on Mac Uilliam Road in the Tallaght area of the city at around 7.15pm.
It's understood that the victim was stabbed in the neck.
Paramedics were called to the scene and rushed the man to Tallaght University Hospital, but he sadly died shortly after.
A post mortem will be carried out today.
A second man, believed to be in his 40s, was injured in the incident and was also taken to hospital, though his injuries aren't believed to be life threatening.
The scene is now preserved pending examination.
Gardaí are now requesting that anyone with any information about the incident come forward.
Anyone who either witnessed the altercation or was in the area between 6.30pm and 7.15pm on Tuesday evening have been asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
