Householders in rural town urged to 'check gardens and sheds' for teen missing since St Patrick's night

Gardaí have issued an appeal to householders and landowners in the town of Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary to check their land and any outhouses as part of the search for a missing teenage girl.

14-year-old Elisha Gault has been missing from her home in the town since Saturday night.

An initial appeal was made yesterday, but now the Gardaí have made a public request for the following:

  • That all householders, businesses and landowners in the Carrick on Suir area check their gardens, outhouses, sheds and buildings
  • That any associates or friends of Elisha Gault that have not yet spoken to Gardaí make contact with Clonmel Garda Station to leave their details
  • That any private houses in the vicinity of Carrickbeg / Dillon Bridge check their CCTV and provide to Gardai at Clonmel / Carrick on Suir
  • Anyone with dashcam footage from their vehicles who travelled through Carrick on Suir on the night of 17th/18th March 2018 make contact with Gardai.

Elisha is described as being approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall with blue eyes and dyed blonde hair.

Garda Superintendent Willie Leahy also told local radio station Tipp FM that Elisha was not wearing a jacket on Saturday night.

Temperatures since Saturday night have been dangerously low, with snow and frost in much of the country.
