Woman accused of dressing up a child for her husband to rape

A 57-YEAR-OLD woman has had her bail overturned in the case of the sexual abuse of a toddler.

Heather Talbot and her husband Gary Talbot, a couple from Co. Down transpired to rape, molest and assault a girl between the years of 2001 and 2003, when the child was between the ages of 2 and 3.

According to Belfast Telegraph, Heather faces charges of aiding and abetting the rape, inciting and committing gross indecency with a child, and indecent assault on a female.

Gary's charges include similar counts and two counts of raping the girl.

The Talbot residence was searched by police forces last October and uncovered conversations and messages about the abuse. On the couple's hard drives and history there were up to 500,000 pornographic photos of children.

Certain photos showed the rape victim dressed up in lingerie, dubbed "sexy photographs" by Gary Talbot to police.

Heather is believed to have accompanied her husband to buy the lingerie and organised the taking of photos of the child.

Presiding over the trial, Mrs Justice Keegan ruled that Heather Talbot be refused bail should other victims of the couple emerge.

Gary Talbot has been remanded in custody as the trial continues.
