Woman and three children hospitalised following flat fire in Irish capital

A 30-YEAR-old woman and three children have been hospitalised following a fire in a block of flats in Dublin. 

The fire broke out at the block on Tyrone Place, Inchicore around 11.20pm last night.

Emergency services including five ambulances and five engines from Dublin Fire Brigade fought the blaze for several hours, according to RTÉ.

The woman is believed to be in a critical condition at St James's Hospital.

Two boys, aged eight and 13 were taken to Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin and a seven-year-old girl was taken to Temple Street Children's Hospital.

The condition of the eight-year-old boy is said to be critical.

The flat has been sealed off and Gardaí have asked for anyone with information to contact Kilmainham Garda Station.
