Young motorcyclist dies and another seriously injured in horror crash with tractor in Co Tipperary

A YOUNG motorcyclist has been killed and another left seriously injured following a horror crash involving a tractor in Co Tipperary. 

Two motorcycles collided with a tractor and trailer on the N74 at MoatequarterKilfeacle at around 5pm this past Saturday, July 18. 

One of the two motorcyclists, identified as a 25-year-old male, was killed at the scene. 

His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford to undergo a post-mortem. 

The second motorcyclist, who is a 33 male, was seriously injured in the collision. 

He was taken to the nearby University Hospital Limerick. 

The driver of the tractor, a 21-year-old man, was not injured in the crash. 

Garda Forensic Investigators have conducted an examination of the scene of the crash with the road now reopened. 

Local Gardai have issued an appeal for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash to come forward. 

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Tipperary Town are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this collision to come forward.  

“Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N74 between Tipperary Town and Cashel to make this footage available to Gardaí.
