Finlay Bealham will miss the rest of the Six Nations after twisting his knee against Italy on Saturday

IRELAND AND CONNACHT PROP FINALY BEALHAM’S Six Nations adventure is over after it was confirmed by the IRFU on Monday that his twisted knee would rule him out for the remainder of the tournament.

The 31-year-old has replaced Leinster and Ireland first choice prop Tadhg Furlong in the side this year and has shown he is more than capable of replacing the Wexford man with his three starts against France, Wales, and Italy.

However, the Canberra native left the Stadio Olympico in Rome in a protective boot after Ireland's 20-34 win against Italy.

The IRFU have now confirmed on their website that his tournament is over.

The Six Nations will take another break this weekend, which means the United Rugby Championship will return.

A number of players will return to their provinces, while others will stay with the Ireland squad to prepare for the Scotland game.

Andy Farrell and the Ireland Coaching Team have retained a group of 27 players to partake in a two-day minicamp later this week.

The Irish senior team will have an Open Training Session against Richie Murphy’s unbeaten Ireland U20s at the Aviva Stadium on Thursday morning.

Ireland captain Johnny Sexton is named in the group for the mini camp, as is Garry Ringrose who was a late withdrawal from the Italy game with a tight calf and Robbie Henshaw who is returning from injury.

Also included for this week’s camp are Jamison Gibson Park (hamstring) and Furlong (calf), neither of whom have featured to date in the 2023 Guinness Six Nations Championship.
