St Brendan’s charity event announced

The third annual ‘Come on Eileen’ tournament, in memory of the late Eileen Dundas, will be staged at the Highgate Football Club, Solihull on Saturday May 9 to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK.

Speaking to the Irish Post Liam Dundas outlined the intentions for the day: “This is the third year that we’ve hosted the event, with support from both the club and the wider GAA community across the midlands. We currently have 10 clubs signed up to date and we would like to invite as many people as possible to come along to the day.

“It’s a great family day with a number of stalls and activities alongside the main soccer tournament that will take place and with all proceeds going to charity we want to raise as much money as we can.” Highgate United Football Club is located on Tythe Barn Lane in Shirley (postcode B90 1PH), within a short walking distance of Whitlocks End railway station; more details on the event can be obtained from Liam Dundas on 07903 852 717.
