London Irish construction firm gives back to local community

A LONDON Irish construction firm has lent its support to a local high school by sponsoring its football team.

HR Group is a multi-disciplined construction company operating from two locations, one in Neasden, north London and the second in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

The firm has recently sponsored the St James Old Boys football team, under its company philosophy of “giving something back” to the communities they work within.

Joe Fay, Director of the HR Group, is a former pupil of the school in Colindale.

“I am very proud to sponsor St James Old Boys FC,” he told The Irish Post.

“As a past pupil of St James, I felt it was an obvious choice when our company was considering supporting local grass roots sports teams.”

Mr Fay, whose family roots lie in counties Cavan and Galway, added: “St James holds a great reputation amongst the Irish community. I am immensely proud to say I am a past pupil of the school.

“HR Group wishes the teams the best of luck for the forthcoming season.”

On behalf of the team, Sean Sullivan, Captain of St James Old Boys, said: “We would like to thank Joe and all at HR Group for their very generous sponsorship of our football team."
