Irishman Eoghan McDermott takes on Justin Bieber on Twitter and wins


IRISHMAN Eoghan McDermott may not have quite the star power that enfant terrible of the pop world Justin Bieber does, but he took him on on Twitter nonetheless. 

Bieber with his flabbergasting 83.3million followers, gets hundreds of thousands of retweets and likes for almost every utterance on social media.

One tweet, which read 'Out here' got retweeted over 90,000 times.

TV and radio Presenter Eoghan McDermott, 32, who is a fluent Irish speaker, decided to set himself a very specific Twitter goal to challenge Bieber's crown.

Twenty-two year old Justin Bieber got 100,000 retweets for simply posting the words "Live life full", do McDermott decided to try something similar. 

On May 11, The Voice of Ireland presenter tweeted three random words: "Nipple squirrel ham' and appealed to his 74.6k followers to help him get 100,000 retweets.

Yesterday he reached his goal. The tweet has now been retweeted 100,000 times and has received 18k likes.
