Concerned family travel to France to join search for missing Irish woman

A young woman from County Clare has been missing from her home in Annonay, France for 3 days now.

Eimear Noonan, a teacher at the École Font Chevalier in Annonay, an area just half an hour outside Lyon has not been seen since Wednesday the 15th November.

The young woman, understood to be in her early twenties was working as a teacher at the local school before her disappearance.

According to The Irish Times, the Noonan family have flown to France to aid the search in a bid to find their sister and daughter. Friends of the family have shared photos and information on the Clare woman to try and gather information online.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is reportedly aware of the ongoing case and are assisting the family in the best way they can.

Eimear's older brother Declan took to Facebook to appeal for more information from anyone living in France or with contacts there.

The post in full reads:  "My younger sister Eimear has gone missing in Annonay, France, half an hour outside Lyon. Last seen Wednesday afternoon.

"Please share here and if you have any contacts in the south of France please share to them."
