Dubliner Paul Stenson sparks outrage after threatening to ban vegans from café

A DUBLIN café owner has sparked uproar within the vegan community after sarcastically stating on Facebook that they were banned from his store.

Paul Stenson, who runs The White Moose Café, became the target of vegans worldwide after he then threatened to shoot them dead if they attempted to enter his restaurant.

He made the comments after his original Facebook post on August 13 (below) triggered a flood of angry responses from vegans.

 

It was shared on various vegan social media pages, but only became a viral hit in recent weeks when one user wrote:

Absolutely disgusting manners and behaviour. Wonder why I am judging before I’ve even eaten here? Because according to The White Moose Café it is okay to judge people without knowing them. It’s okay to call their beliefs idiotic and belittle them online.

You are disgusting, disrespectful and ignorant. Get a life and a job because you wont be in this one much longer talking to customers like that! Totally unprofessional, you have no idea what you’ve started here.

The café’s Facebook page has since received hundreds of negative reviews from vegans all over the world.

This prompted Mr Stenson to bar all vegans from his establishment and subsequently threaten to shoot them dead if they entered the café.

He claims that the posts are written in a humorous manner and reflect the tone of his Facebook page, and he even boasts that the campaign to boycott his café has actually increased exposure for his business.
