EMERGENCY services have attended a house fire in Co. Offaly, with gardaí saying they believe there are fatalities at the scene.
The fire broke out at a domestic residence in Edenderry at around 7.45pm on Saturday.
"The fire has been extinguished by the local Fire Service," added a garda statement.
"It is believed that there are fatalities at the scene.
"An Garda Síochána is not in a position to provide any further details at this early stage."
