Shocking footage surfaces of car being deliberately driven into another car outside Dublin shopping centre

ALARMING FOOTAGE of a motorist appearing to deliberately ram his car into another automobile outside a Dublin shopping centre has surfaced online.

The incident took place at around 5:30pm on the evening of Wednesday, October 24, outside of the capital’s City West Shopping Centre.

In the video uploaded to Twitter, a car is shown driving into another car with a man caught in between the two vehicles.

The man ends up being crushed between the main body and door of his car.

At that point several people begin opening the doors of the car that struck the man and his vehicle.

Both the driver and passenger are dragged out.

Gardaí believe the driver set out to deliberately hit the other stationary vehicle.

A 23-year-old man has been charged over the incident, while another man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment on non-life-threatening injuries.

Another man was arrested and taken to Tallaght Garda Station for questioning.

The car involved in the incident has been seized by investigating Gardaí.

The arrested man is meanwhile expected before the Dublin District Court this morning.

Despite the arrest, Gardaí in Tallaght are appealing for information from any witnesses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station 01 666 6000 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
