A MAN has died and three others were left seriously injured after a two car collision in Co. Sligo.
The tragic incident occurred on the N15 near Rathcormack just before midday on Sunday.
It's understood that the driver of one of the vehicles - a man in his 40s - was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger travelling in the same car was treated by paramedics shortly after.
The driver of the second car - a woman in her 30s - was airlifted to University Hospital Galway where she remains in a serious condition.
Two passengers in the second car were also brought to hospital with serious injuries.
The road has since been closed and the scene has undergone forensic analysis.
