Organic Irish cheese company recalls Cheddar over Listeria fears

AN ORGANIC Irish cheese company has recalled some of their Cheddar over fears the batch may contain Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall notice for The Little Milk Company was made by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland yesterday, October 10.

The cheese company, which is based in Dungarvan Co Waterford, distributes to shops locate in Ireland, Britain, France, Germany, the United States and Australia.

The FSAI announced: "The Little Milk Company is recalling a batch of its Organic Irish Cheddar cheese due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

"The batch was sold in different forms with different best before dates."

The FSAI also said recall notices will be displayed in stores which sold the implicated batch number B82.
