TV presenter Ben Fogle is on a mission to hunt sharks in Celtic Sea

BRITISH adventurer Ben Fogle is in search of sharks in the Celtic Sea – and will be using a 30-foot dead whale as a bait.

The TV presenter will use the whale carcass to attract great white sharks – widely regarded as the most dangerous fish known to man.

Fogle and his team set out from Devon on Saturday and if they capture a great white on film, they could change what is known about the waters around Britain and Ireland.

The team will transport the whale carcass to an area of the sea known as the Celtic Deep, between Ireland and Wales.

They will float the carcass first before sinking it to around 100 feet deep – and it will be fitted with cameras to monitor activity.

The hope is to attract some great white sharks to feed on the whale, a breed that has never been captured on film in British or Irish waters.

The documentary is set to air on ITV later this year.
