The incident occurred yesterday.
Gardaí in Castlebar Co Mayo are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred at Breaffy, Castlebar, Co Mayo at approximately 10.50pm on September 29.
Two pedestrians, a 31-year-old female and a 34-year-old male were injured following a collision involving a car.
The injured female received serious head injuries, the male pedestrian and driver of the car received minor injuries.
All three injured persons were taken to Mayo University Hospital.
Garda forensic collision investigating officers are at scene and the road is currently closed to traffic.
Local diversions are in place.
