LEINSTER RUGBY has announced a new partnership with Currys which is set to support the team to ‘perform at the highest level’.
Currys is now the Official Tech Supplier to the Dublin-based team, which will be equipped with “advanced technology solutions designed to support performance analysis, preparation and player development across the organisation” it was confirmed this week.
Through the partnership, Leinster Rugby’s performance and coaching teams will have access to “cutting edge laptops and PCs to enable real time, in game analysis and detailed post-match review” Currys has confirmed
“The investment in high quality technology will further strengthen the province’s ability to prepare players for the demands of elite competition,” they added.
Leinster Rugby players Hugo Keenan, Sam Prendergast and Harry Byrne joined Annie Manley, General Manager at Currys Carrickmines and Eamon de Búrca, Head of Commercial Partnerships at Leinster Rugby, to mark the announcement at the Leinster Rugby branch in UCDCurrys Ireland Country Manager Keith Daly said the firm was “proud” to enter their first partnership with Leinster, which he described as “one of the most respected teams in European rugby”.
“At Currys, we are passionate about the power of technology to drive performance and innovation,” he added.
“We are delighted to support Leinster Rugby with the tools they need to perform at the highest level, and we look forward to working closely with the province over the next two years.”
Devices supplied by Currys will play a key role in supporting data driven insights at Leinster by helping coaches review the team’s performance, refine tactics and ensure players are fully prepared for key moments throughout the season.
