London's Elite programme next step for 'ambitious' Irish firm

AN IRISH water treatment company has joined the London Stock Exchange’s start up programme for “ambitious” private companies.

The Mallow-based EPS Group is one of 25 new European companies to sign up to Elite, which supports and develops businesses through the next stages of their growth.

Over the past three years more than 260 companies have signed up to the programme run by the London Stock Exchange Group.

EPS Group managing director Patrick Buckley claims the company is aiming to expand internationally.

"The challenge for a family business like ours is professionalising your business and expanding," he said.

"We're looking forward to meeting with experts to see what worked and our aspirations are to grow in the Middle East, the UK and, of course, Ireland."

EPS currently has 340 employees across Ireland, Britain and the Middle East.
