We have all toured extensively in France and so it felt personal for us to help them out. In saying that, step by step we we would love to help support the victims of these tragedies around the World through dance and help make the world a better place. A good place for us to start anyway and the campaign has got off to a flying start!

A BRITISH-BASED group of Irish dancers have created a fundraising campaign in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Contemporary Irish dance group Fusion Fighters are calling on Irish dancers around the world to make their own videos and donate to the Croix-Rouge Francaise (the French Red Cross) in support of their Dance4France project.

Led by founders Chris Naish and Conor Ryan, the idea is to use the combined network of Irish dancers from all over the world to raise money for charity.

"Along with most of my ex Riverdance/Lord of the Dance colleagues, we have all toured extensively in France and so it felt personal for us to help them out," Chris said. "In saying that, step by step we we would love to help support the victims of these tragedies around the world through dance."

To give the campaign a kick start, Fusion fighters have created the compilation video, above, featuring some of best Irish performers around the globe whose toe-tapping moves are just electric.

But don't take out word for it, check it out for yourself.

Dancers are being asked to donate and share their dance clips using the hashtag #Dance4France HERE
