Cold snap could be no longer as temperatures set to rise

SPRING as we know it could be finally on the way as temperatures are set to rise this week.

Having braved the cold snap over the last few weeks, Met Eireann is now bringing us the glorious news that temperatures could rise to 15C in the coming days.

According to the national broadcaster, temperatures will be on the way up tomorrow: “Thursday will be mostly dry with just patches of light rain and drizzle again.

“In the afternoon a shower may develop in the west and southwest. It will stay rather cloudy throughout the day. Highest temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees in the east and northeast and between 11 and 15 degrees further west and south. Easterly winds will be light to moderate.”

The weekend will be scattered with sunny spells with temperatures rising to between 13 and 15 degrees.

It’s not exactly Mediterranean bliss, but at least it signals the end of the seemingly infinite winter!
