A HORRIFYING accident saw a man fall from a window and impale his arm on a nearby railing.
A clip of the incident, which occurred on Capel Street in Dublin, has been circulating on social media this afternoon.
In the footage a young man can be seen hanging out of a second-story window as onlookers begin to panic.
He appears to be gripping onto the inside of the window with one arm as the rest of his body dangles more than 20ft above the concrete floor.
After clinging on for around 10 seconds, the man lets go and plummets to the ground.
Just before he lands, his arm catches the top of a metal railing and is gruesomely impaled on one of the spikes.
Onlookers can be heard screaming as the gravity of the injury becomes clear, and a passerby goes over to check on him.
It's understood that gardaí were not made aware of the situation, so the fate of the man remains unknown.
