WATCH: Gardaí and emergency services sing happy birthday to Cork boy on his 10th birthday

BEST BIRTHDAY surprise ever!

An Garda Síochána have been taking community policing to a new level in recent days, as they help the elderly and vulnerable with their shopping, fix phones and computers and take guide dogs for walks, but Ireland's emergency services took things one step further today as they gave a little boy in Cork the birthday surprise of a lifetime.

10-year-old Rian was feeling a little under the weather lately, and was disappointed he wouldn't be able to spend his birthday with his friends due to the coronavirus measures keeping everyone inside.

But Ireland's emergency services are still hard at work, and they took a little time out of their day to parade down Rian's street, sirens ablaze, to sing happy birthday to him on his big day.

A video taken by Rian's mother shows the little boy confused as to why he has been told to wait outside in his front garden, before lighting up when he realises what's happening.

An Garda Síochána posted the video to their official Twitter page with the caption "We're not the greatest of singers, but we do our best!

"Rian from Cork is 10 [years] old today but hasn't been feeling well lately.

"To cheer him up the emergency services gathered at a safe distance outside to sing happy birthday to him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIAN!"

Check out the video, which is certain to bring a smile to your face, below-- and don't forget to wish Rian a very happy birthday!

Happy birthday, Rian!
