Man killed in collision in Connacht

AN ELDERLY MAN has died following a road collision in Co. Roscommon.

A man driving on the Old Carrick Road in the area of Boyle, Co. Roscommon has passed following a car crash.

The man was driving at 10 am on Saturday morning before his vehicle hit a wall, leaving him seriously injured.

The man was driving alone in the car before he was killed and his remains were brought to Roscommon University Hospital where a post-mortem is expected of the body.

According to Irish Times, the scene of the incident has been sealed off pending a forensic investigation.
