Melania Trump filmed appearing to refuse to hold Donald Trump's hand as they step off Air Force One

A VIDEO has surface online appearing to show Melania Trump refusing to hold Donald Trump’s hand as they step off Air Force One.

The widely shared clip has sparked fresh speculation of a possible rift between the Presidential couple.

In the footage, the First Lady can be seen making her way down the steps of the presidential aircraft alongside the President.

The 74-year-old is seen twice trying to take hold of her hand.

In the first instance Melania, 50, appears to move her arm away.

After a second attempt at holding hands, Trump opts instead to place his right hand on her lower back.

It should be noted that Melania was attempting to navigate the airplane steps in high heels and in windy conditions.

The clip has nevertheless sparked debate on Twitter with some suggesting the First Lady’s body language indicates she doesn’t want to be touched by him.

Others, however, have dismissed such claims as baseless speculation.

Even so, it would not be the first time Melania appeared to rebuff Trump’s attempt at hand holding in public.

Back in January, the former model appeared to pull her hand out of her husbands during an appearance at a College Football Championship game in New Orleans.

Once again, it is worth noting that the incident came as the couple stood in the field ahead of the US National Anthem.

This latest incident came as Trump returned to Washington DC following the sad death of his younger brother and “best friend” Robert, who passed away in a New York City hospital on Saturday.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.
